I am so proud of Ryan. He has worked so hard to train for the triathlons that he does. He often gets up every early in the morning to be able to fit his workouts in and not take time away from the family. This past June 18th he completed the Scheels High Cliff Triathlon. It consisted of a 1/4 mile swim, 22 mile bike ride and a 3.1 mile run. It was amazing to watch him accomplish it!
Here is Ryan getting everything set up in the transition area.
The proud and sleepy family waiting for daddy's race to start.
Ryan's number.
The swim.
Time for Ryan's favorite part the bike ride.
Each time Ryan would come into the transition area to switch to the next even the girl would chant "Go, daddy go!"
Off to run the 5k.
At the finish line!
Ryan's friend Nate Gabor also ran the race.
Ryan had another Tri coming up July 23. I can't wait to go cheer him on. I also can't wait until I can start running again.
