Thanksgiving 2011

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving this year. We decided to have our first Thanksgiving with just our little family. It was a relaxing day at home. 

Lilly loves giving gifts to her friends so we made this turkeys for all her little friends.

 Ryan always does an amazing job of cooking the turkey. This year was no exception!

 I wanted to get a family picture to remember our thanksgiving by. Kate just could not make it to the end of the day so as she slept we cuddled close for the family picture.

We don't mess around!

Right after Halloween I begin decorating for Chirstmas. I love Christmas decor and how warm it make the house feel. The girls love getting the decorations out as well.

 Look close at Kate. I pulled the Christmas stocking out of the box and handed them to the girls. Kate asked what is was. I said "Its your Christmas stocking Kate." The next thing I know Kate had it on her foot and was complaining because it did not fit very well.

 Then I showed her that her name was on it and Santa would put presents in it. She thought that was a much better idea then wearing it. 

 The girls could not wait for the decorations to be found. They started putting all kind of random stuff on the tree. 

 Cute Emmy watched and love all the commotion and lights.

Halloween 2011

This year Lilly and Kate decided they wanted to be butterflies. The really reason was because they wanted new fairy wings. Kate was totally set on being a butterfly until we pulled out the Halloween stuff and she saw her kitty costume from last year. Then she decided she wanted to be a kitty butterfly. Halloween is for pretending so I didn't mind at all!

 Every year we have been here in Wisconsin we have gone trick or treating at the Medical College of Wisconsin. It is warm and safe. We just have a great time!

 Emmy followed tradition and was a cute little love bug!

Is there anything better then apple picking in the fall?

 For family night we did just that!

Pooping Party

Let it be known that I hate potty training. Kate has been ready to potty train for a long time. It was me who had to "get ready". Kate has done a great job with everything. When I asked her what she wanted for pooping on the potty she said " A pooping party!" She went into detail as to what we should have. Cupcakes with frosting and a candle. We even sang the happy birthday song but changed the words to "Happy Pooping to you...."

Yep I will do anything to get potty training over with!

Dentist Time

Lilly and Kate went and had their first cleaning done. I was so worried about how they would react. They LOVED it! In fact they keep wanting to go back.

Grandma's Fall visit

It was so great that my mom could visit again this fall. She just makes everything okay.

It was great to have her help at Lilly's school picnic.

We got pumpkins and all our fall stuff out.

Emma was there as well.
