The big 32!

Well I guess it is official... we are getting old. Ryan turned 32 this past April 14th.  We had such a wonderful day together as a family. We started off the day with a family bike ride.
This was Lilly's fist big bike ride since learning to ride without training wheels.
She was so proud of herself for being able to do it. We ended up going about 3 miles. Lilly kept right up and did not even complain.
We stopped at Ryan's favorite little bakery in town. It was fun to set outside and eat our breakfast.
Later that afternoon Ryan went on a big boy bike ride with some class mates from school. Ryan has really gained a love for cycling.

In the evening we went to dinner with some friends.  We have been so blessed to have made amazing friends during dental school. I am sure we will stay in contact for years to come.

Ryan had a a fantastic day. Driving home from dinner Ryan kept commenting on how great the day was. Success!

Easter

Easter morning with the girls in their Easter dresses.
It is so hard to get a picture these days with everyone looking.
Our family. (Not the best picture of all of us but we were all together.)
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Easter Fun

I can't believe Easter is already here. This time of year always seems to fly by for me.
My mom sent the girls a Easter package. In it was clothes, crafts, mini kites and these chocolate bunnies that my girls just LOVED.

This afternoon went went to an easter egg hunt at Kletzsch Park in Milwaukee. We have gone to this hunt for the past 4 years. It was sad to think that this was our last time. The girls always have such a great time. (Thanks mom for the cute matching outfits.)

Side note: I think I have created monsters... Kate was very specific on how she wanted her hair today. It had to be in two pony tails then braided with pink flowers (even though she was wearing purple. She did not want purple flowers because pink is her favorite color.) Wow, I love doing their hair but now they are getting demanding on how it must be done.
My happy little Emmy and I. She is such a trooper and has fun no matter where she is or what nap she is missing!
 Our family.
LIlly was the only brave one to sit on the Easter bunnies lap. Kate wanted nothing to do with her.
My girls with our friends the sessions. We have gone to this hunt every year together!
Happy Easter!!!

Just Cuddling

In my family growing up we loved to cuddle. Still to this day when I go home I always find myself climbing into bed with my parents to cuddle. Now that I am a mother of three (I still can't believe it) I am so glad my girls love to cuddle.
Life has been busy busy lately. I have so many projects on my plate. Lots and lots of sewing. We are preparing for Ryan to graduate and move to New Mexico. Packing is always looming. Ryan's birthday is right around the corner with Lilly and then Kate's to follow. And yet I am glad I can take a moment and just cuddle my most precious.

Lilly rides!

After watching Lilly at skate land I thought we should try taking her training wheels off. She has good balance so I was sure she could do it. Ryan was doughtful.  But we got the training wheels off the the rest is in the video!

I am so proud of Lilly and her persistance. I was worried that she would give up and not want to keep doing it. She just kept at it and did amazing!

Water Girls

My girls definitely LOVE the water!
For Ryan's last spring break we decided to go to Wisconsin Dells (the water park capital of the world).
We stayed at the Atlantis Hotel which also gave us passes to Chula Vista Resort.
It was so wonderful just hanging out with the family. Both Ryan and I have been very stressed with our upcoming move and big changes in our life. It was fun to go and just focus on our girls.

We also spent time at the Chula Vista Resort with some of our friends and their children. I did not take any pics there. Not really sure why. But we had a great time.

One evening we had dinner at Famous Dave's. I was so hungry after a day of swimming. It was so great to have some of our best friends the Poulsens join us. They are so easy to be around. I am always surprised at how much we have in common. I can't believe I am not going to see my friend Becca every day. Who knows maybe they will join us in New Mexico some day.
The rest of spring break was spent enjoying the lovely weather. Of course I did not much of my to do list done but I spent time with my family which is way more important.

Emmy is on the move.

Emmy has been army crawling or scooting for a few weeks now. I can't believe how fast she is getting.

Skate Land here we come

While Ryan was taking his CRDTS test at school I decided to take the girls to Skate Land with one of my best friends Becca. I was not sure how the girls would do with skating. Because Ryan was not coming with me I took our baby sitter Christi with us as well. I just needed an extra hand in case the girls had a hard time skating. To my surprise they both did great!
Lilly totally loved it.
I was surprised how fast she caught on. Kate liked it at first but then decided it was not for her.
Kenzie, Lilly and Madie in their little lesson before open skating.
 Lilly even did the limbo.
Lilly Christi and Kenzie cruising around.
Em loved the lights and action.

Kate the Entertainer

My girls crack me up all the time. This day Kate decided to do a puppet show for Emmy. I could not always tell what her story was about (I am not sure Kate even know) but she even did different voices the the different characters. I do know that one of her puppets got in trouble and had to go to time out.
 Emm was totally entertained!

A lesson in brushing your teeth.

Through the spouse alliance at Marquette Ryan was asked to read a story to Lilly's preschool class about brushing your teeth. Truth be told I was going to do it but it just so happened that Ryan had that day off school. He is much better at this kind of stuff then me. Lilly loved showing her daddy off to her class.
Ryan is so fun and did different voices and everything!

I am so proud of my soon to be dentist husband.

Heart shapes sugar cookies

Every year growing up my mom made heart shaped sugar cookies around Valentines day. I love a good sugar cookie! This year Lilly asked to have a Valentine Party. At first I wanted to say no but then I thought why not? We kept it simple and just invited some friends over to decorate a cookies and to play. My girls loved having there friends over!

Some of our friends that came were Vienna and Miles Morgan. Madie, Kenzie Poulsen. Chole Cantu. Jada Christensen. Sunday Crandal. There moms all joined them as well. I have been so lucky to live by such great women. I really am going to miss living so close to everyone.

Girls night

While Ryan was gone at a scout camp the gils and I decided to have a girl night. Lilly always wants her hair to be curly so I decided to put a bunch of braids in it so that it would be wavy in the morning. Kate thought Lilly looked silly and wanted to be just like her.
We spent the evening doing hair, eating popcorn and watching movies. I so love my girls. They are so fun to hang out with. I also love that Lilly and Kate are such good little friends. Although they fight at times they mostly get a long. They both have great imaginations and love to play together.

Emmy 6 month's

My little Emma bean is 6 months. I can't believe it. She really is such a happy baby. She loves rolling around on the floor. Scooting/crawling to get whatever she wants. She only seems to fuss when she needs something. Once her need is met she is as happy as can be again. I only wish she was a good sleeper. Oh well you can't have it all. We are so glad she joined our family!

Emma's six month stats: Length 25 1/4" (Percentile 25%) Weight 15 lb 12 oz (Percentile 40%)

Random January

We took January pretty easy after having such a busy Christmas season. All the girls and Ryan ended up being sick in January. Ryan got it the worst. He ended up having pneumonia. He was so tired and weak. It seemed he would get better for a few days and then relapse. On top of that he could a sinus infection. The poor guy just can't seem to get better.
Poor Kate would get so tired during the day. She does not like to nap. One afternoon she snuck a binky out of her room. I told her to take it back to her room. A few minutes later I found her on the stairs asleep.
Little Emmy has turned into the happiest babies. She is all smiles. She loves to have a toy and sit and watch you. This morning I was folding laundry and she was happy to play with my measuring tape and watch.

She plays so well on the floor with toys. WHen she is tired sometimes she just rolls over and falls asleep right in the middle of all the action.
Here she is at almost 6 months.
The girls loved the snow we got in January. It has been a very mild winter here. There has only been a few storms with enough snow for a snow man.
They made a pretty great one this day!
So happy to get her hands on something new.

Kate just loves Emmy. I often find her in Emmy's room even when she should not be. Check out the tower kate made to be able to see Emmy.
It is really starting to hit me that Ryan will be graduating this May. I can't believe he is finally going to be a dentist. Wow what a journey it has been. I am trying to just enjoy my last few month here in Wisconsin.

Well happy January everyone.
