Our home part 1

So some have been asking to see pictures of our home. I hesitate because I don't want to be judged on the lack of decorating skills I possess and lets face it my house rarely looks the way I want it to. So here are a few pictures I am okay with posting. Our home is small but we are grateful to have it. Over the next four years maybe I will get better at this whole decorating thing. (don't look to close at the shelving units I have not decided what to put on there and how to arrange it. ) Anyway here is the way our home is now.

This couch was our twenty dollar craigs list couch. It was in fine condition but I slip covered it anyway. It is great for sleeping on when Ryan is up late studying in our room.

I know our kitchen and dinning area look small but they are way bigger then what we had in student housing at the U. I love having a dish washer, a normal sized oven and counter space! We are even lucky to have some extra storage that some apartments don't have here.

So this post looked really boring so I added this photo of Lilly being so helpful in the kitchen. She loves my oven mitts.

This is it

Well life has really settled down for us. August was a ton of fun. (Other than the move, they are never fun) It was great getting to spend so much time with Ryan. We actually got to go do things together. But of course that could not last. Ryan is loving school but there is a lot to study. His first real test is tomorrow. Lilly and I are getting in gear. Lilly has a regular nap schedule, yaaaaa!!! It really has made my life easier. While Wisconsin still does not feel like home it does not feel quite as strange. Well this is it for awhile I think. This is my new life, and it is okay. Sorry no pictures of us doing super exciting things. But here are a few fun ones I have taken of Lilly lately.

Were off to the park!

Lilly is so helpful she loves carrying the lunch.

Laundry day is still her favorite.

Brewers

What a day for a ball game. On Labor Day we went to our first major league base ball game. It was at Miller Park home of the Brewers. ( Everything around here has something to do with beer.) It was great! The field was so beautiful. We made it just in time for them to sing the National Anthem and throw the first pitch. I don't usually care for baseball but seeing it in person is a different story. The only downer was that it was so hot. We were all sweating to death. We had a great time despite the heat. Lilly even liked the game. Ryan and I were amazed how she just sat on our laps and checked it out. We thought for sure she would be all over the place. She really liked cheering for the home team. She would get very excited when everyone would cheer. Well that is pretty much the all exciting thing that have to report lately. Ryan spends a lot of time studying. Lilly and I spend a lot of time at parks. It seems like we stop at a park almost every day. I think I am just trying to soak in as much out door time before it gets cold here. Lately we have only been getting into the high sixties and seventies which is perfect park weather. Oh and I added a weather watch to my blog so you all can see how cold it is here this winter.

I finally did it.

I know, I know I am way behind the times. I finally read the first book in the Twilight series. It has been years since I have found a book that I actually really wanted to finish reading once I started, let alone read it in a week and a half. I am going to start the second book tonight (or this afternoon if Lilly allows). For any of you who have not read this book it really is a good read.

My little helper!

I just had to share these pictures. Lilly loves be helpful. We let her stand on a helping chair when we do things in the kitchen. This day I was making some brownies. I melted down some chocolate to add to the batter and Lilly just kept chirping for some. I let her lick the spoon as I placed the brownies in the oven. When I turned to look at her this is what I saw. Needless to say she loves chocolate!
