Our Bags are packed...

Well we finally got everything packed away into the trailer. I can't believe Ryan was able to pack all of our stuff into only 11 feet of this trailer. Now we get to just hangout for the rest of the week and say good bye to everyone. We head for Milwaukee on Friday. I can't believe I agreed to drive across country with Lilly. My mom just says to think positively and we'll be fine. I am just glad she is coming with me. While I am still nervous to go I am getting very excited at the same time. Milwaukee will be great! Right? The best part about moving is that Ryan will finally be able to start dental school. I know he is going to make a great dentist. I am so proud of how hard he has worked to get to this point in his life.

We want to thank Ryan's parents for letting us stay with them for the last 5 months. We never would have been able to save enough money to move without their help. Lilly has grown so close to both of them. So many great memories have been made here with them. I really am going to miss there beautiful basement they let us take over. As I closed the door to Lilly's room I flashed back to her taking her first steps in there. Oh, so many memories!

Since this is kind of a good bye post.... I want to say goodbye to all the great friends we made up in the University 1100 court. We had a great 3 years there and are going to miss everyone so much. Thanks for your friendships and I hope we can all stay in contact over the years.

I also want to say goodbye to my family. The thought of not hanging with them as much as been so hard for me. I have been so lucky to have the family that I have. I love you all. Cody, Megan and Madie I feel like we have grown so close this past year. Don't let Madie forget us! K.C. and Amber good luck with the new baby. We know you guys are going to make great parents. We really wish we could be here to welcome your new little boy into the world this fall. Mom and Dad I can't even think of saying goodbye at this point. Good thing you guys are coming with us to Milwaukee for a bit.

Well I think that is it for now. My next post will most likely be from Milwaukee. Thanks again to everyone! We are going to miss you all!

Share a memory

(I saw this on my cousin’s blog and I thought it was a cool idea. I don't usually do posts like this so I thought it would be fun to post something different. )

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

First Burns Family Reunion- Torrey 08

This past week we attended the first annual Burns Family Reunion. We had such a good time. We vacationed in Torrey UT which is right outside of Capital Reef National Park. My grandma and grandpa Michaelis used to own a summer home down there. Growing up my family went there every summer until my grandpa passed away. It was really fun to go back and see the old place. We went rock hunting for petrified wood, played in the waterfall and got in a little fishing. It was so great to hang with my brothers and there families. It felt like we were kids again.

Vegas McAffees visit!

Last week Ryan's niece Sierra, nephew Tristan and sister Alisa visited for a few days. Lilly loved playing with the kids. "Rara" (as Lilly calls Sierra) and Lilly became great friends. Sierra loved to read to Lilly. We also spent time at the pool. After several attempts Sierra took a big leap and finally jumped of the high diving board. I was so proud of her for finally doing it. Sierra also turned the 8 while she was here. I can't believe how old she is getting.
